![]() The problem is that they're not above brainwashing.įor obvious reasons I left out the Black Corps.Īh, matching people up with their corresponding Corp. Their mission is to make love 'conquer all'. Members of this corps are all females, and they all have a big hole in their heart left by a lost love, and 'lost love' can be whatever filled their hearts and then disappeared. Because of that, the idea of love of the Zamarons, the Star Sapphires' patrons, is one that verges on complete control. Stalking, control maniacs, fights, domestic violence. Now, you can probably ask yourself, how can love be bad? Well, think of all that can come out of love. They claim do discard everything 'tied to individualism'.Īnd last but not least, another extreme of the spectrum. Most are reformed murderers.Īnyone knowing more WRITE IN WHITE WITH A SPOILER TAG WHEN YOU POST! I'M READING HERE, DAMN IT!Ībout their character, Indigo Lanterns have put an interest and emphasis on selflessness, altruism, goodwill, the good of all. From where I've read there's next to nothing known about these corps. Hope without the will to make things come true is useless, right? So are the blue rings without a green ring to make them spark. These blue rings have a great weakness, though. Even in the face of hardships, death, overwhelming odds. Have a strong, unwavering faith that 'all will be well'. To be a Blue Lantern, one must be a saint. ![]() Can turn back suns from supernovas to blue stars in a heartbeat. Do things, affect things with the blue light. These guys don't create constructs, they just. To become a Green Lantern, the requirement is to be able to 'overcome great fear', to be able to do wonders EVEN IF your pants are threatening to go from green to brown in a split second.Īnd there we go with the most powerful light of all. Most people because of that think that that means that being a Green Lantern requires being fearless, not having nothing to fear, to suddenly not fear something you feared anymore but that isn't possible nor is the truth. Mostly because emotions shift and so do rings belonging. ![]() The original corps, the center of the colored spectrum and where mostly good guys reside. The more easily you can make people fear you, the better. The point is to being able to cast fear into other people's hearts, either be by just existing or through your actions. For example, one of their members was a sentient apocalyptic virus. It isn't focused on murderers, even if they don't shy away from that. Named after the first one wielding a Yellow Ring, the Sinestro Corps search for those that are able to cause great fear. Oranges in return for their ring get a never fulfilled feeling of hunger that goes with their avarice. You can probably understand the kind of guy. Though, during the crisis, one temporary recruit was Lex Luthor. His 'lanterns' are the people who he kills and whose identity he steals, recreating them as constructs of orange light. It's called 'Agent' instead of 'Corps', because at the point in reading where I am, right after Blackest Night, there's only one individual wielding the power of the Orange Light as as such, of an entire corps. One must have hate and vengeance become their daily fuel, be the only thing driving them to push forward. To become a Red Lantern, it's not sufficient to just be angry at something or someone or desire revenge. The only thing that they know how to do is how to spout red plasma out of their mouth, able to burn through almost everything in existence, and maim with physical strength. Red Lanterns don't have enough focus to create constructs like most of the other corps. The rule is, the farther from the center of the emotional spectrum, the more wild and uncontrollable the emotion and its power. Then I was checking the recommended reading topic and a post made me wonder (going to open up a couple more twin threads in other sections), who of this manga would you put in which corps? For those who don't follow DC Comics, here's a brief summary of the qualifications and aspects of each Lantern Corps. (That means more Spectrum real soon, by the way) The War of Light and Blackest Night saga are among the most well done things in comics like, ever. So, I was browsing through my comics collection and once again I went through all the latest incarnations of the comics concerning the Green Lanterns corps and associates.
